Layout Tutorial #1
1. Make a new with a width of 500-600 and a height of 300.2. Open up 2 or 3 photos of the celebrity of your choice. [1 | 2]
3. If needed, resize the photos and paste them onto the image. Make sure to sharpen all of them if you made them smaller.
4. Blend the photos together using a soft eraser. [My example]
5. Merge the layers together.
6. Duplicate the layer.
7. Colors >> Posterize and set the "Bits Per Channel" to 3.
8. Make your foreground color #AD1313 and your background color #E58989. (These can be changed if you wish.)
9. Make a new layer and fill it with a gradient using the background and foreground colors. Set the layer to screen.
10. Duplicate the background layer, move it to the top, and set it to Hard Light at 100% opacity.
11. Duplicate the background layer, move it to the top, and set it to Screen at 85% opacity. [This is what we have so far]
12. Merge all the layers together.
13. Set the background color to #FFFFFFF or another color of your choice.
14. Image >> Canvas Size [Settings]
15. Image >> Canvas Size [Settings]
16. Take a soft 200px eraser and erase the bottom edge as shown here.
17. Image >> Add Borders [Settings]
18. Change the the background color to #480606 or another color of your choice.
19. Change the canvas size to 800x600.
20. Make a new layer for the site title (if it doesn't do so automatically). Pick a font color that will stand out. Using the text tool, type in your site title in the space above the blend. (I used the font Cicle Gordita, size 24, and font color #FA7F5A.) [Example]
21. Make another new layer for the navigation links (if it doesn't do so automatically). Type in your navigation directly below the blend, using a different color than the one used for the title with a smaller font size.
