Icon Tutorial #2

1. First, select an image that you would like to use for your icon. I chose this image of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
2. Crop and resize it to 100x100. This will be the base of your icon.
3. Duplicate the base layer and set it to Overlay.
4. Make a new layer, fill it with #4c9c9b and set it to Burn.
5. Duplicate the base layer, put it above all the current layers and set it to Lighten.
6. Make a new layer, fill it with the color #ffffc0 and set it to Saturation.
7. Flatten the image.
8. Image >> Sharpen >> Sharpen
9. Duplicate the layer.
10. Colors >> Adjust >> Brightness/Contrast
Brightness: 5
Contrast: 20
11. Set the layer to Screen with 85% opacity.
12. Paste the following texture, made by Kirie, as a new layer and set it to Multiply.
