Making Blends

NOTE: This is from my old design site that I sadly gave up on.

1. Open up PSP and open up at least two images. I chose a few images of The Academy Is.

2. Go to File >> New. Make the canvas around 500x300. Paste all your images on this canvas. Pick whatever background color you want. It doesn't matter that much at this point. You can always change it. I made mine transparent because of this. After pasting the images mine looked like this.

3. Now click eraser and begin erasing the very top layer. For my settings click here, you don't have to have yours like that though. That's just how I always have it. Make sure you only erase the background of the images.

4. Now play around with the blend modes and duplicate the images a few times and again playing around with their blend modes as well.

5. This part may seem a little confusing so first duplicate the original image layers, then make the original ones and background layer invisible. After that, go to Layers >> Merge >> Merge Visible.

6. Duplicate the first image you pasted on the canvas and go to Image >> Deformations >> Wind and use these settings. Do this twice. Then duplicate the other image layers and do the same thing only switching the wind direction after each layer. Make sure you drag each layer to the top.

7. Duplicate the merged layer and drag it to the top. Change the blend mode to Soft Light. Merge all the layers together.

8. Find a texture online and paste it onto the canvas. I chose one from Aethereality. Then you're done!

Reminder

Make sure if you used a texture that you credit the source, if you forgot just list the sites you think you got it from that way you can't really get in trouble. If you remember parts of the name do a Google search.
